<p>The present invention relates to a system for transporting and placing, from a vehicle (1), at least one bridge element (2). The system is characterised in that the bridge element (2) is supported by a support structure (4) of the vehicle (1), which has two lateral tracks for guidance of the bridge element (2) which is displaceable along these latter from its transport position to a service position above a breach to be crossed.
