PURPOSE:To surely execute coiling of a wire feeded at high speed by elastically pushing a coiling reel made of soft material on the circumferential face to circumferential face of a cooling drum and making shifttable of this reel in the drum axial direction. CONSTITUTION:At the time of feeding the wire 5 cast on the circumferential face of the cooling drum 1 from casting zone accompanied with rotation of the cooling drum 1, the tip part of the wire 5 is stuck or bitten into the soft circumferential face layer 6 of the coiling reel 4. Then, as the coiling reel 4 is rotated in the same direction as the cooling drum 1, the following wire 5 is in order coiled to the circumferential face of the coiling reel 4. Further, in accordance with the coiling condition of the wire 5, by reciprocating the coiling reel 4 with suitable driving device to axial direction of the cooling drum 1, the wire 5 is coiled with the same coiling diameter. |
