PURPOSE:To improve the high load discharge performance and the performance at the time of discharge for a long time under the high humidity and the low humidity atmosphere by interposing the compound film, which is obtained by forming the thin firm plasma-polymerized with the hydrocarbon as the raw material on the porous basic material, between the air intake side of a gas diffusion type electrode and the inner surface of a battery container. CONSTITUTION:In a battery comprising a gas diffusion type electrode 1 using the oxygen as the active material and battery containers 8 and 10 having an air intake hole 3, the oxygen permselective compound film 11, which is obtained by forming the thin film plasma-polymerized with the hydrocarbon as the raw material on the porous basic material, is interposed between the air intake side of the gas diffusion type electrode 1 and the inner surface of the battery container 10. Consequently, the compound film 11 can satisfy the requirement of the oxygen permeating speed for the battery, and while the effect for shielding the steam and the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at the same time. Thereby, the high load discharge performance and the performance in the case of discharging for a long time under the high humidity and the low humidity condition can be satisfied together. |
