<p>An intraruminal device for controlled release of a drug formulation in the rumen of an animal, comprises an open-ended tube (1) for containing the drug formulation, a piston (5) adapted to travel longitudinally within the tube (1) and biased so as to deliver the drug formulation through the open end (3) of the tube (1). Travelling with the piston (5) is an associated weight (6) adapted to retain the device within the rumen during delivery of the drug formulation.</p> |
