PURPOSE: To grind a blade surface to excellent quality by putting a grinding member abutted on a blade in a track motion, and giving a track motion of approximately <=25 mm in track length per rotation and of <=244 m/minute in speed to each abrasive element. CONSTITUTION: In a grinding apparatus 20, a grinding wheel 74 is fixed to a horizontal support plate 76, driving cranks 62, 64 are rotated by a motor 22 through a timing belt 48 and gear pulleys 50, 52, and the grinding wheel support plate 76 is put into the circular motion through bearings 58, 60. A blade 100 is placed on one inclined surface of a ridge-shaped blade guide plate 94 of a magnet type guide member 90 provided outside the support plate 76, the blade angle is kept constant, the blade is abutted on the grinding wheel 74, and each abrasive element of the grinding wheel 74 is put into the track motion of approximately <=25 mm in track length per rotation, and of <=244 m/minute in speed to grind the blade surface of the blade 100. The blade surface can be easily ground to excellent quality even by an unskilled person. |
