发明名称 OXYGEN ELECTRODE FOR LIVING BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen electrode for a living body easy to miniaturize, generating no thrombus in blood and excellent in safety by covering the side surface of an electrode consisting of a non-conductive thermosetting resin having pores and a carbon fiber bundle with a non-conductive thermoplastic resin and covering the circumference of the cover layer with an anti-thrombogenic material. CONSTITUTION:Pores 3 are formed to the leading end of a carbon electrode 1 covered with a non-conductive thermosetting resin 2 and the circumference of the non- conductive thermosetting resin 2 is covered with a non-conductive thermoplastic resin 4 and the whole of the circumference thereof is covered with an anti-thrombogenic material 5. As the non-conductive thermosetting resin 2, a resin closely adhering to carbon fibers well and insoluble in a solvent for the anti-thrombogenic material is pref. As the non-conductive thermoplastic resin 4, a resin closely adhering to the anti-thrombogenic material 5 is used and closely adhering to both of the non-conductive thermosetting resin 2 and the anti-thrombogenic material 5 and has function as an adhesive. The anti-thrombogenic material 5 is selected from a synthetic hydrogel, a heparin compound and an urokinase immbolized compound. Since the adhesion of a thrombus to the surface of the electrode is extremely reduced, the concn. of oxygen can be measured safely and stably for a long time.
