<p>PURPOSE:To offset a range side lobe each other out and to improve the capacity of a radar apparatus to detect a target by distributing a modulation signal in two and by adding up the absolute value of one signal with the other. CONSTITUTION:An oscillator 1, a pulse modulator 2, a timing circuit 3, a code generating circuit 5, a signal processing circuit 9, a first double balance modulator 10, a transmission-reception switching circuit 12 and a second double balance modulator 15 are the same with ones of a conventional apparatus. A power distributor 17 distributes a modulation signal 16 in two. An absolute value circuit 18 taking the absolute value of one output 19 of the distributor 17, and an addition circuit 20 adding up an output 21 of the circuit 18 with the other output 22 of the distributor 17, are provided. The signal 16 is distributed in two by the distributor 17 and one output thereof is inputted to the circuit 18. The output 21 of the circuit 18 and the other output 22 of the distributor 17 are added up with each other in the circuit 20, a range side lobe is suppressed thereby, and the capacity of detecting a target is improved.</p> |
