PURPOSE:To miniaturize a developer container by composing the powdery developer container from a shape memory material. CONSTITUTION:A container main body 2 is composed of the material having the form memory effect, and the material is made to store an expanded, deformed shape of an empty space 3 of the inside of the container. That is, the empty space 3 of the inside of the container is brought into an expanding condition under temperature conditions other than an ordinary temperature, and a shape in condition where the empty space 3 comes to shrink under ordinary temperature conditions is stored. At the time of automatically charging developer 1 (powder), a temperature condition given to the container main body 2 is set at any conditions other than an ordinary temperature, so that the empty space 3 is caused to expand; the developer 1 whose apparent capacity is increased owing to the mixing of powder and air is charged. The empty space 3 is brought into a shrinking condition by leaving it under ordinary temperature conditions after charging, and the capacity of the container main body 2 is reduced. This miniaturizes the container 2. |
