PURPOSE:To enable the prevention of fluid leakage from a pipe by fusing a polyolefin pipe with a heating wire heat fused joint and shielding the heating wire lead part of the joint with a covering material of a polyolefin material via a heat fusion process and the like. CONSTITUTION:In a jointing method for a polyolefin pipe using a heat wire fused joint 1, the heat wire 2 of a joint 1 is electrically energized and both joint 1 and a polyolefin pipe are fused for jointing. Then, the lead part 12 of the joint 1 is shielded with a covering material 11 comprising a polyolefin material of such type as similar to the joint 1. The covering process is so made that the end of the lead part 12 of the heat wire 2 is embedded via a heat fusion process with a heater 10. As a result, a crack inside a joint part does not reach the external surface of the pipe and there is no possibility for a fluid in the pipe to leak out even during a long-term service. |
