PURPOSE:To easily mount the in-cylinder pressure sensor without making its constitution complex by incorporating piezoelectric elements in the bore grommet part of a cylinder head gasket. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric elements 12a and 12b of the in-cylinder pressure sensor 13 which detects variation in the pressure in a cylinder are incorporated in the bore grommet part 17 which forms the bent part of the outer peripheral part of the cylinder head gasket 4, and then the in-cylinder pressure sensor consisting of a small number of components can easily be mounted on the engine without making the complex constitution of the cylinder further complex by partial machining. |
