PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity without deteriorating the film strength of a high-polymer layer by incorporating a stage for forming a straight chain high polymer contg. 0.01 to 0.4wt.% lubricant to a film and a stage for heating the film in an oxygen-contg. atmosphere into a stage for forming the high- polymer layer. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic sensitive body has a charge transfer layer 2 consisting of the high-polymer layer and a charge generating layer 3 contg. a photoconductor on a substrate 1 as the photosensitive body and the charge generating layer 3 has a free surface 4 on one side. The stage for forming this high-polymer layer has the stage for forming the straight chain high polymer contg. 0.01 to 0.4wt.% lubricant into the film and further the stage for heating the film in the oxygen-contg. atmosphere. Namely, the high- polymer layer which is formed as the film by adding the lubricant thereto is made into the film by thermally welding the same onto a conductive substrate and thereafter, the layer is treated in the oxygen-contg. atmosphere. The deterio ration in the electrophotographic characteristics is obviated in this way and the uniform high-sensitivity characteristic is obtd.
