PURPOSE:To prevent the rush of a vehicle at the time of idling, etc. by varying the sectional area of an intake air flow passage formed with the outer peripheral edge of a throttle valve, a sliding member of a an intake air passage case, and a through hole to control the flow rate of intake air when the opening of a throttle valve is small. CONSTITUTION:A plane portion 12-1 which is in parallel to the rotary shaft 3 of a throttle valve 2 and the center line of an intake air passage is formed on the outer peripheral portion of the case 12 of the intake air passage 1, a through hole 13 which is opened toward an inner peripheral face is provided opposite to the outer peripheral edge of the throttle valve 2 in a totally closed position, and a sliding member 14 is provided on the plane portion 12-1. The sliding member 14 is slided by operating a motor 4 by the output of a control circuit into which an engine operation parameter is inputted, to vary the sectional area of an intake air passage which is formed by the outer peripheral edge of the throttle valve 2, the sliding member 14, and the through hole 13 when the opening of the throttle valve 2 is small. Thereby, at the time of idling, the range of an intake air flow rate is limited by the sectional area of the through hole to prevent the rush of a vehicle caused by the erroneous operation of an actuator or the control circuit. |
