发明名称 TURBO-COMPOUND ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To control three driving supercharge mode, i.e. mechanical drive supercharge, full turbo supercharge, and turbo-compound, by incorporating a gear train middle part clutch mechanism into a turbo-compound engine. CONSTITUTION:An on/off clutch 1 to be engaged/disengaged according to a control signal is installed on the crack shaft 5 side of those two shafts 17, 18 in the middle of a gear train, while a one-way clutch 2 is arranged on the exhaust turbo-supercharger side, and they are combined by double row gears 11-14 in two shafts and two couples. Thereby driving is made through the on/off clutch 1 at the time of mechanical drive supercharging when the exhaust trubo- supercharger is driven from the crank shaft 5, while at the time of full turbo- supercharging the gear train is decoupled by the on/off clutch 1. At the time of turbo-compound when the output of a turbine 4 is larger than the work of a compressor 3 and the excessive output is collected to engine through the gear train, the one-way clutch 2 is automatically engaged with the on/off clutch 1 left out of engagement. Thereby three driving supercharge modes can be controlled.
