PURPOSE:To provide a powdery or granular foaming gargle generating carbon dioxide gas bubbles and instantaneously dissolving when thrown into a proper amount of water in use. CONSTITUTION:The powder or granule of a carbonate of an alkali metal (Na or K) is coated with a sugar. Particles of an organic acid (e.g. anhydrous citric acid or tartaric acid) are attached to the circumference of the sugar layer and the obtained powder or granule is put into a small pouch made of moistureproof aluminum foil, transparent plastic film, etc., to obtain the objective foaming gargle. If necessary, the gargle is further mixed with powder of a drug for the suppression of inflammation in the mouth or throat, a sterilization agent, an agent for the elimination of bad breath, a perfume to impart refreshing feeling in gargling, a powder to impart slight sweetness, etc. |
