PURPOSE:To prevent the rotation of a cap at the time of the advance of the cap by forming a recessed groove extending in a longitudinal direction to a slide case and providing the engaging projection engageable with the recessed groove to the inner surface of the cap. CONSTITUTION:When a slide body 3 is engaged with the engaging part 1D provided to the leading end of a cam surface, the rotation stopping projection 11E of a cap 11 is brought into contact with the projection 2C of a slide case 2 to stop the rotation of the cap 11 and a knock type propelling pencil body becomes a writing state. At this time, the recessed groove 2E of the slide case 2 and the engaging projection 11G of the cap 11 are positioned on a straight line in a longitudinal direction. When the cap 11 is pressed in this state in order to deliver a lead, the engaging projection 1E advances in the recessed groove 2E of the slide case 2 to deliver the lead and, therefore, even when a force is applied to the cap 11 in the rotary direction thereof, the cap 11 is not rotated and possibility such that the knock type propelling pencil body is depressed is not generated. When the cap 11 is reversed, the slide body 3 connecting the knock type propelling pencil body is detached from the leading end engaging part 11D of the cap1 1 to become a portable state. |
