A current discrimination arrangement having an input for receiving a current to be discriminated and an output comprises a first transistor (T1) and a second transistor (T2), each having a base electrode, an emitter electrode and a collector electrode of the first transistor (T1) connected to a first point (3) via a first resistor (1) and the collector electrode of the second transistor (T2) connected to said first point (3) via a second resistor (2) of substantially the same value as the first resistor, the base electrode of the first transistor (T1) connected to a point between the second resistor (2) and the collector electrode of the second transistor (T2).
