ALUMINUM BASED BEARING ALLOYS

A bearing alloy comprises 3-5 wt.% silicon, 8-20 wt.% tin, 0.5-2 wt.% copper and the balance aluminium. The tin phase is in reticular form. The silicon is present as particles which do not excess 20 microns in size.
