PURPOSE:To attach a toner to a carrier by means of static electricity and to use a non-magnetic developer consisting of a single component by providing a stirring means adjacent to the toner carrier, and frictionally charging the toner before it is supplied to the carrier. CONSTITUTION:A toner stirring means 31 is provided adjacent to a toner carrier 9, and a voltage impressing means 45 is connected to it. The stirring means is obtained by implanting a fur brush 33 to a conductive cylindrical member 32. In such a constitution, the means 31 is rotated, a toner 8 is frictionally charged before it is supplied to the carrier, and attached to a carrier 9 by means of the static electricity. The same device is provided for the rubbing and cleaning of the toner on the carrier. For this reason, a toner charging quantity increases, filming is broken as well, and the stable development in full colors with the use of a non-magnetic developer consisting of a single component is attained. |
