PURPOSE:To reduce the velocity of liquid in a tube so as to stimulate the radiation effect and to offer a radiator at a low price by a method wherein a thin metal strip is twisted to form it into a spiral inner fin that is inserted into the circular metallic tube and fixed to the inner wall of the tube at both sides of the fin. CONSTITUTION:For example, thin metal strip 1, such as brass, etc., is twisted to form it into a spiral inner fin 2. The spiral inner fin 2 is inserted into a circular metal tube 3 such as copper tube so that both sides of the inner fin 2 come into close contact with the inner wall of the tube 3. A number of radiation plates 4 made of thin metal plate are fitted on the outer wall of the tube 3 at specified intervals. Then, the tube 3, the inner fin 2 and the radiation plates 4 are heated all together, so that the three parts are fixed each other by solder applied on the inner fin 2 and the radiation plates 4. |
