<p>PURPOSE:To remove BaCO3 by a neutral aqueous solution and remove a getter efficiently and economically without requiring a neutralizing process by washing a shadow mask having the getter adhered thereto with a specified washing solution. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask having a getter adhered thereto is washed with an aqueous solution of neutral salt of ethylenediamine tetraacetate as a washing solution. As the ethylenediamine acetates, EDTA-2Na-EDTA-4Na, EDTA-2Na-Zn, EDTA-2Na-Mg, and EDTA-2Na-Fe can be used. Further, the aqueous solution of these EDTA salts can be used as it is to the BaCo3 removal on a mask having the shadow mask coated with an antidoming agent. The use of the EDTA-2Na aqueous solution provides the less elusion of a water glass component and no weakening of the coat as it is neutral.</p> |
