PURPOSE:To obtain multicomponent ceramics having plural functions and no interface by ununiformly mixing plural ceramic component, converting the mixture into gel and sintering this gel by a sol-gel process. CONSTITUTION:When ceramics is produced by a sol-gel process, sol is mixed with ceramic powder different from the sol in compsn. and the mixture is converted into gel at the time when the concn. of the ceramic powder in the sol becomes ununiform by setting and a certain distribution is formed. The gel is then sintered to obtain multicomponent ceramics in which the percentage of each component varies continuously. |
