Folding portable device comprising two pairs of crossed members 1 and 2, 1' and 2'. Each pair pivots on a pin 3 and 3'. The top end of each crossed member is hinged to an arm 4 and 5, 5' and 4'. Each couple 4, 4' and 5, 5' supports half a seat. The arms 4 and 4' pivot on the outward side of the outward crossed members 1 and 1' and the arms 4' and 5' pivot on the inward side of the inward crossed members 2 and 2'. A handle 8 is attached to the inward arms 5 and 5' close to the point where they are hinged to the crossed members 2 and 2'. The crossed members 1 and 1', 2 and 2' are joined together by a transverse piece 7 and 7' fixed at the base of said crossed members. The widths of the crossed members 1, 1', 2, 2' and of the arms 4, 4', 5, 5' are identical so that when folded the assembly occupies a minimum thickness for storage. <IMAGE>
