<p>PURPOSE:To keep tact time always short and to improve production speed by utilizing a detector for detecting whether a lead frame faces up or down and forward or backward and a device for turning the lead frame forward. CONSTITUTION:A device 18 for turning a lead frame forward rotates a support means 10 by a quarter turn in the forward or backward direct ion around the axis 12 extending vertically to the obverse and reverse of the lead frame by means of a turning means 11 based on a detection signal from a detector 6 for detecting whether the lead frame faces up or down and forward or backward, whereby the lead frame R supported by the support means 10 to face sideways is turned forward. More particularly, in the case of (sf) where the lead frame R is to face up and forward, the lead frame is rotated backwards by a quarter turn in the process 2 for turning the lead frame to face up and is further rotated anticlockwise by a quarter turn in the process 3 for turning it forward. Thus, the lead frame is rotated by a half turn in total. In the case (uf) where the lead frame R is to face down and forward, it is rotated forward by a quarter turn and then rotated anticlockwise by a quarter turn. Also in this case, the lead frame is rotated by a half turn in total. Similarly, either in the case (sr) where the lead frame is to face up and backwards or in the case (ur) where it is to face down and backwards, the lead frame is rotated by a half turn in total. In this manner, tact time can be shortened to improve the production speed.</p> |
