PURPOSE:To obtain the constitution of an optical line network having flexibility by providing three input/output light guiding lines, three optical path switching parts and three connecting light guiding lines, and constituting the subject switch so that two input/output light guiding lines can be coupled optically. CONSTITUTION:The optical switch is provided with three light guiding lines 1-3 used for an input/ an output, three optical path switching parts 7-9 connected to each of these input/output light guiding lines, and connecting light guiding lines 4-6 for connecting mutually two optical path switching parts. In this state, the optical path switching part 7 executes switchings of 1, 4 and 1, 6 respectively, and the optical path switching part 8 and the optical path switching part 9 execute switching of 2, 4, and 2, 5, and 3, 5, and 3, 6, respectively. In such a manner, three input/output parts are provided, a a path can be set between two arbitrary input/output parts among them, and also, its characteristic is satisfactory. Therefore, an optical line network which abounds in flexibility can be constituted. |
