The installation cylinder is for a security lock with cylinder housing (1). A core (7) turns but cannot slide in a bore (4) through the housing. The core is inserted in the bore from the rear side and has a flange (10) at the rear end of larger diameter than the bore, so as to bear against the rear face (13) of the housing. A head (16) is fitted on to the other end of the core, covering the bore and forming a guide and bearing for the core allowing no free movement. ADVANTAGE - Maximum protection against forced entry.
