PURPOSE:To simplify the work of analysis by adding anionic reducing agent into a leading liquid or a terminal liquid, and performing electrophoresis. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a capillary tube 1 of a migrating path are connected to a terminal electrode cell 3 and a leading electrode cell 5 through a specimen injecting port 2 and a detector 4, respectively. A constant current is supplied from a constant current source 8 through electrodes 6 and 7 which are immersed in the electrode cells 3 and 5. A liquid incorporating ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid of anionic reducing agent as counter ions are injected into the electrode cells 3 and 5, respectively. Aqueous solution incorporating trivalent iron ions Fe is injected into said tube 1 as a specimen. Then, the trivalent iron ions Fe starts movement to the negative electrode in the process of the migration. Since the ascorbic acid is anions, the ascorbic acid starts movement to the positive electrode. During this step, the trivalent iron ions encounter the ascorbic acid. The trivalent iron ions Fe are transformed into bivalent iron ions Fe and separated. The ions are detected by the detector 4. |
