The suspended ceiling comprises box-section supporting members (1) open to the underside and from which bosses (2) extend downwards at regular intervals securing the ceiling sections (4). The latter has shaped sidewalls (3) engaged by the bosses. The sidewall profile comprises a rounded zone (3.1) protruding sideways at the bottom and above which is a clamping portion (3.2) set back from it, while there is a spring zone (3.3) between them. Together these form a mirror image of the ceiling section sidewall. Each boss has two cutter faces (2.1) extending downwards from the member and also complementary to the sidewall, so as to lock together under spring action. ADVANTAGE - Easy fitting merely by pressing into place and forms a virtually seamless joint.
