PURPOSE:To enable a cylindrical article held in a space within a reverse L- shaped frame provided on a travelling truck to be transported smoothly while rolling by providing a movable roller which can bear against the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical article like a barrel or the like on an end of said frame. CONSTITUTION:A transport apparatus applied to a rack warehouse in which combined rail and barrel carriers 10... are arranged in multiple stages vertically at predetermined intervals to contain a number of barrels 11 is provided with travelling wheels 9 rotated by a motor 8 through a chain trained over sprockets 13-15. Also, idle gears 19, 20 are provided which are rotated by the motor 8 through a chain trained over the sprockets 13, 14, 16-18. Further, a movable roller 5 rotated by the rotation of said gears 19, 20 through a chain trained over sprockets 21, 22 is provided. And a barrel 11 accommodated between this movable roller 5 and a free roller 6 is rolled by the movable roller 5 while being transported by the travel of a travelling truck 1. |
