The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a crossing (diamond, frog) with a moving point 1 for railway apparatuses of very great length incorporated in long welded rails, the said crossing (diamond, frog) furthermore comprising in particular a cradle 2 comprising two elements 3, 4, one moulded and the other not moulded, and a crossing (diamond, frog) thus obtained. Method characterised in that the pieces 5, 5' belonging to the non-moulded element 4 of the cradle 2 are connected to the moulded element 3 of the cradle 2 by an unwelded assembly. <IMAGE>
