The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for enriching various kinds of concentrates, especially gold-bearing concentrates, by the use of an inclined table 11 having a porous covering 22 through which a current of air may or may not be passed and which is asymmetrically shaken. The invention is characterised in that the separation of the compounds of the mixture takes place in two stages according to two selection criteria, initially according to the density of the compounds and thereafter according to their shape, by a very specific use of the apparatus employing specific inclinations of the table and the presence or absence of a current of air. <IMAGE>
