<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive panel having high strength, enhanced in water resistance and corrosion resistance and rich in general-purpose properties by integrally forming the surface layer of fiber reinforced plastic to at least one surface of a hollow core material made of fiber reinforced plastic. CONSTITUTION:A liquid unsaturated polyester resin 7 is applied to and infiltrated in the glass fiber 8 on a base stand 6 having releasability with almost the same area as the surface of a core material 2 and, before the unsaturated polyester resin 7 infiltrated in the glass fibers 8 is cured, the core material 2 is placed on the upper surface of the layer of the glass fibers 8 and cooled at constant temp. under constant pressure to bond the core material 2 and the unsaturated polyester resin 7 infiltrated in the glass fibers 8 to integrally form a surface layer 3 to the surface of the core material 2. Subsequently, a surface layer 4 is also formed to the other surface of the core material 2 to obtain a panel 1. Since a roll core made of fiber reinforced plastic is provided as the core material and the both surfaces of the panel 1 are made of fiber reinforced plastic in the same way to be integrated with the roll core, the compression strength in the thickness direction of the panel 1 is high and the strength in the planar direction thereof is also high.</p> |
