PURPOSE:To reduce rays of light forming a gathering of light directly before a car so as to attempt improvement in visibility, by forming an inside fanlike subsection on a running lane side out of the portion of an area above a surface horizontal to a line passing through the center of an almost reflecting surface, and having the optic axis of the inside fanlike subsection positioned slightly below the optic axis of the remaining fanlike subsection and at the same time having it inclined a little to an opposite running lane side for positioning its focus directly below a reference point. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting surface having its almost ablong square opening is divided into four fanlike portions in its up-and-down directions as well as its right-and left directions, and then the right-and-left fanlike portions are divided respectively into inside fanlike subsections 6p, 6d and outside fanlike subsections 7p, 7d. And each of fanlike subsections except the inside fanlike subsections 6p, 6d out of the right-and-left fanlike portions, positioned on a running lane side has an optic axis in common while having a focus at a common reference point F. The inside fanlike subsection 6d on the running lane side is formed out of the portion of an area above a surface horizontal to a line passing through the center of the almost reflecting surface, and then the optic axis thereof is positioned slightly below the optic axis of the remaining fanlike subsection while being inclined a little to an opposite running lane side, so that the focus thereof is positioned almost directly below the reference point F. Thus, a gathering of light is lessened for improving the entire visibility through the headlamp by a degree equivalent to the lessened amount. |
