PURPOSE:To improve shrink characteristics by forming a polyester shrink film having a specific shrinkage factor under a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION:When a polyester shrink film is treated in an air oven at 100 deg.C for 5min, a shrinkage factor in one direction (main shrinking direction) is 30% or more, a shrinkage factor in the direction crossing the main shrinking direction at a right angle is 20% or more, initial shrinkage stress FO in the main shrinking direction after the elapse of 5sec in silicone oil at 75 deg.C is 2000g/mm<2> or less and shrinkage stress F20 in that direction after the elapse of 20sec in the silicone oil is (FO-100)g/mm<2> or more. When a film having a shrinkage factor exceeding 20% is shrunk as a label, the film is largely shrunk along the longitudinal direction of a container and stress and the curling of the end part of the film are generated.
