The system comprises a frame provided with jaws (8, 9) for gripping the collimator, the collimator and the sheath comprising a system of retractable lugs cooperating with reaction means in order to retain the collimator (2) on the sheath (5). The jaws act on the lugs (46) in order to detach the collimator from the sheath while at the same time seizing the collimator. By acting in this manner, it is possible to maintain a continuous hold on the collimator while at the same time simplifying the installation and securing operations.
