PURPOSE: To produce a precise LED print head easily by mounting an LED die on a tile by using a two-way fixture and fitting the tile to a base plate. CONSTITUTION: A conductive epoxy adhesive is screen-printed at a position where a die 16 is arranged on the surface of a tile 13. After the tile 13 being arranged at the proper position of a sub-assembly fixture, the die 16, one edge is pushed to the lip 25 of an overhang, the end part is pushed to a side guide and arranged in a 34 sequence, with regard to a tile standard edge and one end part, after the die being positioned precisely, the die is adhered to the tile. In the final assembly to an assembly fixture, tiles 13 are assembled to a wide U-shaped Z base 31 with the front turned downward. The tiles are positioned properly and pushed to an edge guide 34 and the shoulder 35 of the end part, and when the exposed area of a tile front is mounted on a positioning rail 32 in the Z direction, it is clamped at a prescribed position by a moving clamp 37 which pressurizes the side edge of the tile. When a complete alley consisting of nine tiles is assembles, a base plate is mounted on the tile and bonded with an adhesive. |
