POROUS FILM-FIBER COMPOSITE AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a porous film-fiber composite having high humidity permeability, high strength at the time of low elongation and hard to strech by laminating a web or nonwoven fabric composed of an adhesive composite fiber having a predetermined composition and thermally bonding the same under pressure in a dispersed state with a predetermined thermal pressure bonding area. CONSTITUTION:A web or nonwoven fabric containing 30wt.% or more of a heat-bondable fiber containing an ethylene/methyl methacrylate copolymer as a heat-bondable component is laminated to a porous film and thermally bonded thereto under pressure in a dispersed state with a thermal pressure bonding area of 5-40% to obtain a porous film-fiber composite having humidity permeability of 500g/m<2>.24hr or more. Or, the web or nonwoven fabric containing 30wt.% or more of the heat-bondable composite fiber containing the ethylene/methyl methacrylate copolymer as the heat-bondable component is superposed on the porous film and thermally bonded thereto under pressure within a temp. range from the heat-bondable temp. of the heat-bondable composite fiber to the m.p. of the porous film using an emboss roll having a protruding area of 5-40%.
