PURPOSE:To enable the proliferation of the subject alga in waste water under optimum condition by mixing a stock A consisting of an aqueous solution of K2HPO4, a stock B consisting of an aqueous solution of NH4Cl, etc., and a stock C consisting of an aqueous solution of EDTA, etc., and using the mixture as a culture base. CONSTITUTION:A solution having the following composition is used as a nutrient base for the culture of Chlamydomonas. Stock A: 108.0g/l of K2HPO4, Stock B: 5.0g/l of NH4Cl, 2.0g/l of MgSO4.7H2O and 1.0g/l of CaCl2.2H2O, stock C: 5.0g/l of EDTA (C10H16N2O8), 2.2g/l of ZnSO4.7H2O, 1.14g/l of H3BO3, 0.51g/l of MnCl2.4H2O, 0.5g/l of FeSO4.7H2O, 0.16g/l of CoCl2.6H2O, 0.16g/l of CuSO4.5 H2O and 0.11g/l of (NH4)6(Mo7)O24.2H2O and 970ml of water. the stocks are mixed together in an amount of 10ml/l each to obtain a culture base. The most excellent proliferation can be attained by using the culture base as a nutrient source in waste water at 20-30 deg.C under natural light or artificial illumination of >=2,000 lx. |
