PURPOSE:To provide the titled activating agent which attacks the tumor cells and contributes to elongate the life of the host, by using an antibiotic substance found in the product of Nocardia sp. No.2-200 strain, as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The agent contains the compound of formula as an active component. The compound of formula is an antibiotic substance found in the product of Nocardia sp. No.2-200 strain (FERM-P No.4171), and exhibits biophylaxis- activating activity as well as antibacterial activity, i.e. improving the phagocytic activity of macrophage, preventing the infection of mouse with Candida albicans having no antibacterial activity, attacking the tumor cells, and elongating the life of the host. The compound is extremely low toxic, and its LD50 to mouse is 705mg/kg by intravenous injection and 810mg/kg by peritoneal infusion. There is absolutely no delayed toxicity. It can be absorbed by oral administration, exhibits high concentration in blood and organs, and can be discharged rapidly. |
