The hydraulic reference force machine has a cylinder (6) contg. a piston (5) subjected at one end to the output pressure of a hydraulic measuring system, having a measuring piston (1) loaded via measuring weights (2). A compensation pin (10) is attached to the base of the working cylinder (6) and acts as a guide pin fitting into a central axial bore (8) of the working piston (5). The latter may have a rotary drive provided a hydraulic motor within the axial bore (8) of the working piston. USE/ADVANTAGE - Calbiration of force measuring appts. Reduced requirement for guide precision.
