PURPOSE:To restrict the incidence of sunlight and to apply the subject receiver for an electronic equipment used outdoors by allowing the shape of a light receiving window installed in front of a photodiode to be flat in a horizontal direction and extending a cylindrical sunscreen from the light receiving window toward the photodiode. CONSTITUTION:The light receiving window 12 for receiving an infrared remote control signal, a light emitting window 41 for emitting light from a tally LED 24 or the like are generated in a front case 10. The shape of the light receiving window 12 is oval and flat in the horizontal direction and the cylindrical sunscreen 12A which extends toward the light receiving part 22A of the photodiode 22 is provided on the light receiving window 12. A taper is provided on the sunscreen 12A so that the holes of the light receiving window gradually become small. Thus, the incidence of the sunlight having a prescribed incident angle can be restricted, and only the infrared remote control signal which is projected almost in the horizontal direction can be guided to the light receiving part 22. Thus, the receiver can be applied to the infrared remote control light receiver of the electronic equipment used outdoors. |
