A printing forme (1) for screen printing is specified, consisting of a printing frame (2) and a fine-mesh fabric (3), the copying layer (4) being connected to the fine-mesh fabric (3) in which a thin layer (6) is applied additionally below the copying layer (4). This thin layer (6) has the effect, during printing, that the junctions of the fine-mesh fabric (3) do not come into contact with the area on the printing product (5) which is not to be printed. The use of such a printing forme (1) is important, for example, when printing on substrates with orientation layers for liquid crystal orientation in LCDs. <IMAGE>
