The suction roller control allows the suction jets to be cleaned to prevent their blockage by supplying them with pressurised air via a pneumatic switching valve control module (3). The latter is coupled to the printing machine operating control (2) via a logic circuit (1) for exploiting the printing machine standing time for cleaning the suction jets. Pref. the logic circuit (1) uses three AND-gates (2.1,2.2,2.3) and an OR-gate (2.4) coupled to the setting and resetting inputs (S,R) of an output flip-flop (2.5) providing the control signal for the control module. ADVANTAGE - Min. time lost because of blockage of suction jets.
