In an apparatus for the transport of yarn bobbins from one yarn-producing or yarn-processing stage to the next, in which, during winding, the tube of each bobbin stands on a tube tray kept connected to the bobbin at least until the yarn is unwound, the origin of each individual bobbin can be followed back perfectly, even when the bobbin delivery or bobbin removal takes place in bursts, if there is coupled into the bobbin-transport path a bobbin store which receives in an ordered manner the yarn bobbins connected to their bobbin tray.
