PURPOSE:To prevent mutual interference between two gaps which are not arranged on the same straight line and, at the same time, to reduce the azimuth loss of the two gaps by making the azimuth angles of the two gaps coincident with each other. CONSTITUTION:The azimuth angle of a gap 14 when the gap 14 is positioned above the N-th track of a magnetic disk is the angle theta 1 between the straight line DG connecting the center D of the gap 14 and the center G of the magnetic disk and the straight line connecting both ends EF of the gap 14. The azimuth angle of another gap 17 when the gap is positioned above the N-th track is the angle theta 2 between the straight line JG connecting the center J of the gap 17 and the center G of the magnetic disk and the straight line connecting both ends KL of the gap 17. The two gaps are separated from each other by a dis tance at which they do not interfere with each other by not arranging them on the same line and the two gaps are inclined against each other so that their azimuth angles can coincide with each other at the prescribed track position. Therefore, mutual interference between the two gaps can be prevented and the azimuth loss can be minimized. |
