PURPOSE:To obtain a base for photographic paper having a coating layer comprising an electron beam setting material causing no yellowing nor fog generation after development by incorporating a polyolefin acrylic compd. into a paint compsn. contg. an unsatd. org. compd. which can be set by the irradiation with electron beams. CONSTITUTION:A polyolefin acrylic compd. expressed by the formula I is incorporated into a paint compsn. which can be set by the irradiation with electron beams. The polyolefin acrylic compd. is pref. a compd. having a principal chain consisting of recurrent units expressed by the formula and having at least one terminal acroyl group. >=50wt.% of the compd. is pref. contained in the paint compsn. basing on the amt. of the unsatd. org. compd. in the paint compsn. In the formula, R is an H atom, methyl, ethyl, or vinyl group; n is an integer >=4. Thus, a base for photographic paper having superior resistance to yellowing caused by development and resistance to fog, is obtd. |
