PURPOSE:To improve moisture-resisting characteristics, adhesive properties, alpha-ray shielding effect by coating semiconductor elements and lead wires with a specific aromatic etherbenzimidazole polymer. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor elements and lead wires are coated with aromatic etherbenzimidazole polymer containing repetitive structural units represented by formula I and/or II. In formulas I and II, R1 to R4 are any of H, subalkyl group, fluoroalkyl group, halogen atoms; R5 and R6 are any of H, subalkyl group, fluoroalkyl group. X is any of direct coupling, -CO-, -S-, -SO2-. As a result, a coating is formed which is closely adhered to semiconductor elements and lead wires and which has affinity to excellent alpha-ray shielding effect and sealing resin. |
