Actuating device for a friction clutch arranged in the drive train of a motor vehicle

A description is given of an actuating device for a friction clutch arranged in the drive train of a motor vehicle. To release the friction clutch, a release lever (1) moves a release sleeve (2) with a release bearing (5) against the force of a diaphragm spring (6) which serves to transmit power at the friction clutch. With this movement, the release sleeve (2) releases a locking device for a helical spring (10) preloaded against a supporting tube (7). The release sleeve (2) simultaneously actuates an unlocking arrangement (15) for the positionally fixed support of the force of the helical spring. This acts on the diaphragm spring (6) to relase the friction clutch. The actuating force on the release lever (1) is thereby reduced. When the friction clutch is engaged, the diaphragm spring (6) preloads the helical spring (10) and engages the locking device via the release sleeve (2). With the friction clutch unactuated, the supporting tube (7) together with the helical spring (10) and the release sleeve (2) can be displaced by means of the disengaged unlocking arrangement (15) for the purpose of readjustment when the friction clutch is worn. <IMAGE>
