Disc agitator in a continuously operating drier

The disc agitator for continuously operating driers can be subjected, in the case of considerable loads and large spans, to steam at elevated pressure and elevated temperatures or to hot water. It is to be usable safely and with high efficiency, which is obtained by constructing the heat exchanger surfaces from discs with ring anchors and continuous condensate discharge (Fig. 4). By the advantageous method of welding the disc on the one hand and through welded rings on the other hand, use is possible even where there is a high risk of abrasion. <IMAGE>
