The rectangular window opening in the side of the vehicle has diuble groove frames to hold two panes. The overlapping adjoining edges of the panes are fitted with special edge strips (2, 3), which lock over each other to form a complete seal. The overlapping seal is provided by shaped edges (2y, 3y) on the strips forming the pane edges and with brush sections (26) for the final seal. The adjoining guide strips are close spaced and the edges of the panes have offset slide strips. ADVANTAGE - Compact window, simple sliding gear, efficient seal.
