PURPOSE:To improve performance as a file requestor by making access from a file server to a data file having data file quantities much more than that designated by an access request, and returning the data file to an access request source for following access requests. CONSTITUTION:A network buffer program 21 develops the access request from a data processor to be access requests much more than a designated data file quantity. And they are transmitted to the file server 20 by a network access processing program 16, a communication control equipment control program 17, and communication control equipment 18, and the data file with the quantity much more than a designated quantity is accessed, and it is stored in a main storage buffer 22. The content of the main storage buffer is checked for the following access requests, and when a requested data file exists, the data file is returned to the data processor without making access to the file server 20. In such a way, it is possible to obtain a targeted data file in a time equivalent to that required for local access.
